Holy hell. “I’ll be back to posting regularly tomorrow! Blah blah blah,” Four damn days later and here I am. Ya’ll forgive me. Here’s an extra long post. Continue reading “6/21/16 Daily Tarot & Days 7-1o | 30 Days of Deity Devotion”
I’m behind! Shame on me. I had to take a bit of a mental health day and rest yesterday and then spent all of the first part of the day today cleaning up the mess that accumulated in that short amount of time. The work of a mom is never done, I tell you. Any whom:
5) Members of the family – genealogical connections:
The General’s mother is… we’ll call her Big T. She’s normally a giant hydra, and is a goddess amongst dragons. We’ll call his father C. He wasn’t a god, but a hero of legend and never really got the followers to ascend. So… he’s not around anymore.
6) Other related deities and entities associated with this deity:
The Immortals I know for a fact he works with directly are The Scout and The Gold Knight. I’m not sure who he bothers in the Shadow Caste… maybe Nameless since he is government-y. He works rather seamlessly with the other two gods, The Silver Bastard and Mama Death. They all kind of have a really great working relationship trying to keep shit together and running smoothly.
Anyway, I’ll be back to posting normally tomorrow,
The challenge for today is to talk about one’s favorite myth or myths about the deity they’re working on. Continue reading “Day 4 | 30 Days of Deity Devotion”
Today’s Card is The Knight of Swords:
The Knight of Swords is a passionate and focused fella. He’s curious and keen to figuring things out, and can be indicative of a person doing occult studies or pursuing spiritual advancement. He can also be a man seeking vengeance, a cruel, red hot angry sort, but honestly that doesn’t have anything to do with me and my life right now, so I’m just taking that part of him in as a reminder for the next time I feel the slow burning type anger creeping up on me. I am going to take in the advancement in the occult and spiritual pursuits bit though quite a bit. I’ve thought about writing more for this blog lately. I certainly have quite a few ideas.
I’ll certainly have the time since I’ve gotten so much done already this morning. I’m just feeling very productive lately. It’s that damn summer energy.
Today’s Card is The Lord of Works (AKA The Three of Disks):
The Lord of Works is one of my most favorite cards. No big wonder there, as I’m a Capricorn Sun (and Mercury, Uranus, and Neptune, oh my) and this card is, well:
…Capricorn. “All hail the Goat”, as Joel would say. Any whom, The Lord of Works is often an indicator of reward after a bunch of work and focus you’ve put into something. Other times it’s an indicator that NOW is the time to put in that focus and work. I know that this is in relation to my language studies. Last night I sort of broke through a barrier with it where I could actually get at least 70% of what I was looking at and it was magickal in its own right. I think this is a push towards remembering that language isn’t something you stop focusing on once you understand a bit of it, and requires a continual focus.
I’m also using it to remember I’ve gotta focus on getting my house packed up! If I can pack a box or two every day, when the move out day comes it’ll be a lot easier to get done.
Today’s challenge post is “symbols and icons of this deity”. Here’s where I show how much I need to work at this, haha. The symbols I know off the top of my head are as follows:
- The colors red and black
- A cameo of a Hydra
- Two ravens
Yeah, that’s as much as I’ve got. Like I said before, I really need to work more with this Deity. Luckily this gives me something to bother my husband about when he gets home tonight. Then I can post an edit to this and add in the rest later on.
